Yes folks, this is my highly quantitative analysis of the 2001 Hoops teams.  I
have employed a statistically accurate stochastic numerical analysis to model the
overall team rankings.  There is a tightly constrained Heisenberg uncertainty
error of pi/r½.  In other words, you can't argue with this logic.  So without
further adieu, the cold hard truth.

Overall finish, with the Mags % Ratings in ():

1 - Punks (77.7) - As I alluded to in my response to Hans' slight, the Punks come
out on top.  I would have it no other way.  Why?  Because I have the best
assemblage of Guards and Forwards in the league.  Pay me now or pay me later.

2. - Dave's Bleepheads (75.4) - Dave has the best 1-2 punch in C, plus a decent
set of Guards.  If the Bleepheads want to challeng, their manager is going to get
off his ass and take an active role in their destiny.  Won't happen.

3-  Foxes (73.2) -  The big questions here are will Grant Hill and Danny Fortson
be studs or duds, and will McDyess be healthy soon enough to make a difference.
If yes to these, then the Foxes will challenge.  If no, then they sink.  I say
they end up here.

4 - Dippers (72.9) - Nowitzki, MJ, and Walker are studs but will not carry this
team to the top.  Center position is weak and will make this team the Little
Dippers.

5 - Posse (69.8) - Centers are weak, several good players recovering from
surgery.  Ray Allen and Michael Finley are the stars, maybe Rasheed if he stays
cool.  Should have drafted more Pacers.

6- Mazin Violet Gliders (67.3) - Obviously, Andy is still celebrating his
baseball victory.  Probably the weakest at C.  Balance, but mediocre overall at G
and F.  Webber will have to get healthy quick to keep this team out of the
cellar.

7- Fatsos (64.1) -  Sorry Gabes, but the Champs will definitely not repeat this
year.  Luck of the draw I guess.  Loved the J. O'Neal, Rashard Lewis, and Battier
picks, but Speedy Claxton?  What is that, a horse on Ritalin?  Francis and Carter
will put up good numbers, O'Neal could be hot, but  the Jersey Netters are
gambles. Iif Kidd makes them good then the Fatsos will move up.


That's the way I see it.
