Rules for CyberZahm Basketball Roto 10/06/2000 A. Draft Order Andy, Gabes, Dave, Mags, Jack, Fox, Hans If anyone else joins the fun they will draft after Hans. You can trade positions, up to two days before the draft, even up, no future considerations allowed. B. The draft We will draft first to last, last to first, for a total of 14 rounds. Everyone must be able to field a starting lineup of 2 centers, 4 guards, and 4 forwards. We will each also have 4 reserves. The positions that players qualify for will be determined by the player listings found at http://www.rotoworld.com/basketball/rosters/rosters.asp NOTE: On 10/17/2000 I downloaded the rosters and the positions are now frozen. You will find them at No longer needed. The draft will begin on Monday, October 23rd. C. Categories The categories are Total Points, Scoring Average, Field Goal Percentage, Free Throw Percentage, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, and Blocked Shots. Roto points are calculated just like for baseball. The percentage categories are calculated like the baseball batting average ... i.e. team shots made/team shots attempted. D. Starting Lineups Everyone must set their starting lineup of 2 C's, 4 F's and 4 G's by 10/30 or the day after the draft ends, whichever comes last. Just send the list to me. I'll post them. The players not in your starting lineup are your reserves. E. Replacements Between 10/31 and 2/12 you can replace up to 3 of your players with any "free agent". This will be first come first serve. Send your requests to the ICC. Replacing one of your reserves will cost $10. Replacing one of your starters will cost $15. F. Exchanges At any time during the season you can exchange players between your reserves and your starting lineup. You may make a total of 10 such exchanges. Again, send these requests to the ICC. Exchanges cost $5 each. G. Trades Trading is allowed until the all star break. All trades must leave all owners with a full starting lineup. Inform the ICC of any trades and related moves. You may not trade replacement/exchange options. H. Fees Entry $50 Replacement $10/$15 Exchange $ 5 Web Site $100/n where n = number of owners I. Payouts First, we deduct the cost of the stat service ($100). Then the remaining money is divvied up as follows: First place: 30% Second place: 15% Third place: 5% The remaining 50% will be given out using the following scheme which essentially pro-rates payouts based on total points ... The total points earned by the last place team are subtracted from everybodies total points, giving everyone an adjusted point value. The adj pt vl of the last place team would be zero. The first place team would have the highest adj pt vl. Each team would be paid from the remaining 50%, a share equivalent to their percentage of the total adjusted point values. J. Calendar 2000-2001 10/23 Begin draft. 10/31 Opening Day. 10/31 to Make up to three replacements from free agent list. 02/12 02/9 All star break. to 02/12 04/17 End of season. K) Rules interpretations I am the all powerful ICC. This means that the above rules mean what I mean them to mean and not necessarily what they say they mean. If I need the help of my PRICC I will know it. Fox
