Prep, Hey, what's the story with WalleyeWorld? You still planning on hosting? If so, have you started to think about potential dates? Believe it or not, my calendar is already starting to fill for next summer. Don't feel the pressure to throw a party. I'll just move VegasWorld up to next year if you ain't ready for the CyberZahmbies. You might disappoint Dave, though. He's been looking forward to some Walleye fishing and I've also promised to bring him up Minnehaha way a couple of days early to go trout fishing in the streams near my ma-in-laws place in Caledonia, MN. What's the story? Gabes ****************************************************************** From: Prep Subject: Re: WalleyeWorld It's still a go with me. Late July or early August is a good time weatherwise, though Walleye fishing may be a little slow. Best Walleye action at my lake is late May to end of June and first couple of weeks in September. Rough agenda is: Day 1 - Arrival and golf in metro area (Many fine courses available) Day 2 - Travel to excellent course in Brainerd or fishing on Mille Lacs lake, then travel to Pengilly or Travel to decent course near Pengilly and fishing at cabin Day 3 - Travel to second excellent course or fishing, skiing, etc. at cabin Day 4 - Return to metro area (3-4 hour drive, so there should be some time for recreation) A copy of this goes out to others (though I'm having trouble reaching Mags and Hans, so forwarding would be appreciated). It would help if folks would let me know good dates and what they would like to do - nothing is written in stone yet. There are various casinos en route if that appeals, but not much in the way of "hot" spots. As for roto NBA, I had to decline because there were a couple of boils on my ass that were more interesting to watch. Let me know what you think of the plans. TAP ************************************************************** From Gary Subject: RE: WalleyeWorld Preppie, Late August is best for me; our fiscal year ends 6/30, we have kickoff, etc right after, and our family vacation is the last part of July into early August. BTW; is it true we need a license to carry the proper strength insect repellent up at those lakes? Sobo ********************************************************************** Date: Mon, 24 Nov 1997 15:05:21 -0600 From: Prep Subject: Walleye World I have heard from some of you and it's beginning to look as if Walleye World would work best during mid to late August. Not perfect, I realize, but maybe the best we can do. Let me suggest either August 13-16 or August 20-23 as concrete dates. Why don't you let me know if either of those would work. Also, could someone who has a list of all the cyberzahmbies forward this on to everyone as I'm not sure my mailing list is complete. This year's theme is "I got plain silly in Pengilly". Until now, I have not lobbied hard for complete attendance, but I do want to make a public comment about Albert's hesitation to commit to this once in a lifetime event. He has been flipping feverishly through his rolodex of excuses, and his latest one is: Those dates are so far off I have no idea what I'll be doing at that time." What a tub of shit! Here are some real reasons Albert may pull a no show: a. He will be pulling something else during those weekends; b. The reality of his golf game will finally become apparent to him; c. He won't be able to buy up all the copies of the video showing him on water skis. d. He doesn't like to touch leeches, worms or minnows; e. He'll have to pay Billy's way so we'll have a dockboy for the weekend (Al, I'll pitch in so that one of the real Danza men can be on hand for the event); f. He's afraid a mosquito will suck all the blood out of his pecker, causing him to pass out. If anyone else can think of additional reasons for his hesitation, please send them along. I'm hoping he has a conscience and we can shame him into making an appearance. Your Walleye Holiday Host P.S. to Willo: Will you be trying to shack up with any of the other Cyberzahmbies in Pengilly?
