Having arrived home in Missouri safely, (Al, it only took me 6-1/2 hours coming home as opposed to 7-1/2 getting to PP--it was downhill all the way home-no traffic, no cops, ok a few, and a couple of speeders with radar detectors in front of me), some thoughts about the weekend struck me as I drove, so thought I would share them before I start drinking again and forget them. But first, hope everyone arrives home safely and on time. Now my thoughts-- PPII's host with the most--Mr. DD, you da man (as willo would say), and your sisters are da ladies for allowing us to trash their cottages. And a gourmet chef to boot. Food was wonderful as were the accomodations, but if Al stays in the same cottage as any of us except Hans next time, we need thicker walls. When you want to retire from the legal profession and open a restaurant, give me a call. I'll help in the kitchen, just to eat your mistakes. Father--midnite Mass--not just for Christmas anymore! Thanks so much, and hope you got your beauty sleep! John A--(Dago 1 to you young pups), All the way from the left coast! Above and beyond the call, and the MoFo's finally rode again after 31 years! I'll keep the BBall under glass until you arrive to claim it. Jack D--remember the bourbon is George Dickel. You've got a great brother, and it runs in the family. Al--I will beat you scratch one of these days (I think). I know I will if I can figure out how to get into your head like I can get into Fox's. Professor Fox--I'll play golf with you again after you buy new golf gloves--it was an embarassment to play with someone who looked that shoddy. It threw me off of my game as you could tell. Andy--Daddy Warbuck's, 38's. I'll have a round of golf with you one of these days too my friend, and only charge you half of what I charge Willlo for lessons. Prep--A longer putter may help, and remember, Ben Hogan had the yips too, so you're in good company, but otherwise, you got game. Jack--the perpetual candidate and tailgater extrordinaire. Hope the Colts won today. We'll get in a round together one of these days too. It's good to be young. A nice harem you've managed to amass at the ND games. Sobo--Hope you had a safe trip home. If you ever want to make a two day drive of it, swing by Perryville. We've got plenty of empty beds. Great golf tournament, especially since I won more money than everyone else. Remember, what happens at Scooters stays at Scooters. Hans--My Calcutta partner, chauffeur, and dollar dance mate. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It was a pleasure to beat you by a stroke. You too got game. Send me your company name, address, and any other particulars, etc, and I'll pass the info on to the parties involved. Ikey--An oncology surgeon who smokes. Hmmmm. Self-surgery to cut down on the doctor bills? Is that like self abuse? Got any more of those blue pills, Sobo and I stole Willo's. I'll use them this week and let you know if they worked. ND football team--play with more passion--play to win. The student body--too damn young, too damn smart, too damn organized (but impressive) and oh so many foxy ladies. Oh, to be young, right Jack L. Ty W--put a screen pass in the playbook. And almost last and certainly least--the Hog man who slept through half of midnight Mass--Friday night follies, Secret Santa, whatever, you're in charge of entertainment until we can come up with someone better. And my two scores at Heritage Glen last time were 88 and 83. I was worse this year with a lower handicap. Does that make sense to you. I still think we should have had a playoff. I don't like the idea of you keeping even more of my money. To those who weren't there--you were missed, at least until the 6th beer. If I've missed anyone, accept my apologies. It's halfsheimers, and I've got it all the time. And to all a good night--the bourbon beckons. Oh, by the way who was my secret Santa, Fox or John? It was a little hazy at that point Friday night And last--one final token of thanks. Thanks to Our Lady for bringing us all together all those many years ago. What God and his mom hath wrought. Bis spater. Hilllbilly Bill ************************************
