Boys: Home again in ol' Virginny. Hope you all land home safely. What a gig! Great to see you all and spend some time together. Thank you, Dave (and Connie!) for hosting a splendid Reunion. Many new memories. You guys are the greatest! GO IRISH! TE IKE ******************************************************** My son & I got home safely as well, Ikey. Made great time. Sans speeding tickets, too. Man, I love those 82-87 MPH stretches when some fool ahead of you is doing 85 or 90. The ground equivalent of stealth technology. Washed my face & looked at myself in the mirror when I got home, and thought my appearance had improved markedly over the weekend, despite only 9 or so hours of sleep and a 20-hour roundtrip drive. Maybe it's the sunburn from the game. Maybe I was hallucinating. Maybe it was the booze residue. But I don't think any of those apply. Thanks for the fix of testosterone & intelligence, fellas. I needed that. Peace. Love. Kiss my ass. Terry **************************************************** Dave, Three cheers on a wonderful chapter in our annual reunion saga. The cabin was a great venue... the hotel accomodations nearby and inexpensive... the meal Friday night was terrific... the fine wine was more than fine... and your complete coordination of logistics was, as always, superb! All Guy and I had to do... with the additional help of Hans, of course... was show up at O'Hare and the rest was handled. Now THAT is a vacation! Thanks for hosting a great weekend, Al ************************************************** Dave, An outstanding job! Simply outstanding! Another in the long line of wonderful and memorable reunions. I'll have many long lasting memories from this one, but perhaps the best will be the fact that this was our largest turn out. That in itself makes it wonderful. It was just like old times again for a few days, and life just doesn't get any better than that. Gabes ************************************************* D.D., Thanks for all of your hospitality. Friday night - the smoked salmon, steaks, and '82 Mouton Rothchild - best meal I have ever had in Paw Paw! Look forward to seeing you again soon. Jack ************************************************ I JUST WANT TO THANK ALL THE GOLDEN DOMERS FOR A WEEKEND I WILL NEVER FORGET.THE RAIN ON FRIDAY COULD NOT DAMPEN WHAT WAS TO COME THE NEXT DAY.WALKING YOUR CAMPUS,WATCHING THE BAND STEP OFF, AND ATTENDING THE GAME IN THAT SACRED STADIUM. LIFE IS MADE UP OF MEMORIES,AND THAT ONE DAY WILL BE REMEBERED BY ME FOREVER.THANKS FOR MAKING ME FEEL LIKE ONE OF YOU.I WILL ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL...... GUY ************************************************ Dave - wonderful weekend! It was great getting together with everyone. Terry, Bill and Guy - glad each of you made the trip. As has been said already, another in a long line of memorable CyberZahm reunions. among the questions remaining... did Willo make enough $$ playing Scat to pay for the hats and shirts, or will he make the company wait until his baseball winnings come in? how long will the Irish win streak go? can Andy sing the "City of New Orleans" sober? and will our next group meal match the quality of the steak dinner from Friday night? - it will be tough. glad everyone got home safely. anyone that decides on the spur of the moment to return for the Pitt game this Saturday, stop by the tailgate. Hans ************************************************ Dave, Excellent job on the reunion plans. The cottage was great- hope we can do it again there, but don't put Gabes in the top bunk! He scared the shit out of me the first night he tried to descend. Mags ************************************************ Gentlemen, although I use that term loosely where Willo and Andy are concerned. What a great time! Dave, so many thanks to you for all your efforts. Great food, great wine, and great company, no comment about my golf efforts though good enough to whup Willo's little ass. Dave, can I put what he owes me into the pool so there's some hope of ever getting a little return on my money? Willo, thanks for the shirt. Sue may end up with it, depends on how much it shrinks after washing. Guys, wonderful to meet a whole bunch of new friends. As to next year, I can vouch for Sobo-the Hill country is the prettiest part of Texas, wine, music, and food are wonderful, and UT Austin babes are bitchin'. Sue's wanting me to attend even though our middle daughter is getting married the week before Thanksgiving next year, so we will see, so until then.... Happy Trails to You All. Bill ************************************************ Thanks to all for coming! Hope everyone made it home without incident. Did anyone lose their pants in the scat game? Found 1 pair tan pants at the cottage. Also have 4 Maduro brand cigars and a blue and yellow cigar nipper. Back to work! D.D. ----------------------------------- The pants are mine! No kidding. Where were they? I know I had them on Friday morning but opted for shorts just before heading to the Great Deluge. Fox ----------------------------------- Fox: Are you sure the pants are yours? Ikey attempted an emergency circumcision on Willo late Thursday night using only a cigar nipper. Unfortunately, Ikey cut it a little too close, so he tried reattaching a Maduro cigar as a replacement. That didn't work, so Mr. Reynolds is now known as "Willhole." Other than that, let me add my voice to the chorus of applause for Dave's hospitality. Plenty of laughter, great food, excellent accommodations and a spiritual day on campus. The tradition was definitely preserved. Many thanks to Dave, and peace to all. Prep ----------------------------------- David... I think those pants belong to Preppy. It seems that he had a difficult time at the Skat card table that night. After I extracted all the money from his wallet which was in those pants, he decided to just leave his pants. Bill Edwards ------------------------------------ ******************************************** Dave- The thanks goes to you. The only mistake we made was not putting you in charge of Friday's weather. All (including you, Guy)- I'll offer up a suggestion for Reunion'03. Bring it down to the Great Southwest, and sample some of the fun in Austin, Tx. The Hill Country has something for everyone: great golf, tremendous fishing and boating on several lakes or rivers, great jazz and some good lookin' fillies at Univ. of Tx. Depending on your travel preference, could include golf at my club and possibly a game at the Ballpark. Suggested dates would be late September/early October on a non-football weekend. That part of the year offers some of the best weather we see. As far as LDD, great to see everyone again. It's a special time, with a special group. Let's keep it going. Go Irish!! Sobo ----------------------------------- A gig in Austin sounds enticing, Sobo. Is there good fishing around Austin or are you just trying to bait me? Also, you refer to it as the Hill Country. I thought Texas was flat as a pancake, nothing but parched earth, sagebrush, cactus and scrawny mesquite. At least that's what John Wayne told me. D.D.
